Artificial grass can be installed almost anywhere! It’s perfect for gardens, balconies, patios, rooftops, play areas, schools, pet runs, and even indoor spaces. At Saygrass, we’ve fitted grass on everything from concrete and decking to soil and tarmac. As long as the surface is properly prepared, we can transform almost any area into a green, low-maintenance space.
Yes, you can mix different thicknesses of artificial grass in your order, especially if you’re covering separate areas with different needs, like using a softer, thicker grass for play zones and a shorter pile for decorative borders. However, we don’t recommend mixing thicknesses in the same continuous area, as it may affect the look and feel of the lawn. Our team can advise you on the best options for a consistent finish.
Artificial grass is very easy to maintain. A quick brush with a stiff broom or a leaf blower keeps it looking fresh, and any mess, like leaves, mud, or pet waste, can be easily removed with water and mild detergent. Unlike natural grass, there’s no mowing, watering, or muddy patches to deal with.
Yes, Saygrass artificial grass is completely safe for both children and pets. Our products are non-toxic, soft underfoot, and free from harmful chemicals. They provide a clean, cushioned surface that’s perfect for playing, running, and relaxing. Plus, they’re easy to clean—ideal for busy family homes.
Weeds are extremely unlikely to grow through properly installed artificial grass. At Saygrass, we install a high-quality weed membrane beneath the grass to block weed growth from underneath. Occasionally, you might see some light surface weeds from airborne seeds, but these are easy to remove and won’t penetrate the grass itself.
To work out how much artificial grass you need, simply measure the length and width of the area you want to cover. Multiply the two to get the square metres required. Our rolls typically come in 2m or 4m widths, so we’ll help you choose the most efficient layout with minimal waste. If you’re unsure, you can book a free site survey with Saygrass, and we’ll measure everything for you.
To ensure the best colour match, we recommend ordering all the grass you need at the same time. While we do our best to keep consistency across batches, slight variations in shade can occur due to manufacturing differences. If you’re unsure, our team is happy to help you plan your order and minimise any risk of mismatch.
Yes, at Saygrass we offer a full supply and installation service. Our experienced team handles everything—from ground preparation and removal of existing surfaces to precisely fitting your chosen artificial grass. We ensure a clean, seamless finish built to last, so you can enjoy a hassle-free, low-maintenance lawn.
Yes, Saygrass artificial lawns are designed with efficient drainage in mind. Each roll of grass has a perforated backing that allows water to pass through easily. When installed correctly with a proper sub-base, rainwater drains away just as it would with natural grass, preventing puddles and keeping your garden usable all year round.
No, high-quality artificial grass is designed to withstand prolonged sun exposure without fading. At Saygrass, all our products are UV-stabilised, meaning they retain their vibrant colour even after years of direct sunlight. This ensures your lawn stays green and fresh-looking all year round, with minimal maintenance.
