Artificial grass
putting greens.

A place to practise.
A garden to enjoy.

Saygrass supplies and installs putting-green artificial grass for golf practice and bespoke garden designs, including putting areas shaped within a surrounding landscape lawn.

Putting-green grass, shaped for the garden.

Putting-green grass forms the light-green centre, surrounded by a shaped border of landscape artificial grass. This Saygrass project brings the two types of grass together in a narrow side garden.

A putting area that belongs in your garden

Whether you want a dedicated place to practise your putting or a golf feature within the wider garden, start with how you want to use the space. We can discuss a compact side garden, a shaped putting area within a lawn, or another layout that suits your property.

The putting surface and the surrounding landscape grass have different roles. We select the putting-green grass for its intended use, then agree the surrounding lawn, outline and edge details. Our project photographs show how the two grass types can work together.

Plan the shape, layout and finish

At your free installation survey, tell us about your practice goals, the space available and how the rest of the garden is used. We assess the existing surface, access, levels and drainage before agreeing a proposal.

Discuss preferred putting distances, any hole positions and contours, and whether you want a landscape-grass surround. These details belong in the agreed design and quotation. If you also want to chip or use the area for another activity, mention this before the grass and installation are specified.

Preparation matters as much as the grass

A putting green is a complete installation, not simply a different colour of garden lawn. The proposed base, finished levels, drainage, joins and edges need to suit the chosen putting surface and your site.

Putting-green products have their own installation and care requirements, including any infill. We confirm the specification for your project rather than assuming our standard residential lawn method applies to every golf surface. For a new installation, we supply and fit Saygrass grass.

How much does an artificial putting green cost?

We provide a quotation for your project following the survey. The size and shape, selected grass, existing ground, access and agreed preparation all affect the work. A surrounding lawn, any cups or contours, and additional drainage also need to be included where required.

Your written quotation should make clear the grass, preparation, fitting, agreed extras and total including VAT. Our garden installation calculator is a general lawn budgeting tool; contact us for a putting-green quotation.

Caring for your putting green

Keep leaves and loose debris off the playing surface and follow the care instructions for the installed product. Check joins and edges, and report movement or damage so it can be assessed.

A synthetic putting green still needs care. Cleaning, brushing and any infill work should suit that particular surface. We also provide artificial grass maintenance; send the size and photographs for a maintenance quotation, with no maintenance site survey needed.

Other uses and installation coverage

Putting-green grass can also be part of a bespoke decorative grass design. For another intended use, tell us what you have in mind so we can discuss the surface and whether the proposed installation is suitable.

We take installation enquiries across our listed service areas, including Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes, Hertfordshire and North and West London. Check your area, view more completed Saygrass work, then book a free survey to discuss your putting green.

Your questions, answered.

Can you fit a putting green in a small garden?

We can discuss compact and narrow spaces as well as larger areas. The survey helps establish a useful layout for the available space, your intended practice and access around the garden.

Can the putting green sit inside a normal artificial lawn?

Yes. Our photographed project has putting-green grass in the centre with landscape artificial grass around it. We agree the outline, surrounding grass and edge details for your design.

Can I choose the shape and hole positions?

Tell us your preferred shape, any hole positions and contours at the survey. These are agreed as part of the project specification and quotation; cups and other golf features are included only where stated.

Does putting-green grass need sand infill?

That depends on the selected product and installation specification. Confirm the requirements for the putting surface rather than assuming a residential landscape lawn specification applies.

Do you offer putting-green grass for uses other than golf?

Yes, we welcome enquiries for bespoke grass designs and other intended uses. Describe the activity and space so we can discuss a suitable grass and installation.

How do I get a price?

Book a free installation site survey. We assess the garden and discuss the putting surface, shape, preparation and any extras before providing a quotation. No standard putting-green price is implied by the garden lawn calculator.
