Artificial grass supply and fit: one agreed installation
Looking for artificial grass installers or fitters near you? Saygrass provides the grass and the agreed preparation and fitting as one project. Artificial lawn, synthetic lawn and fake grass are common names for this service. We do not offer labour-only fitting of customer-supplied grass.
Start with a free site survey. You do not need to measure the garden or send photographs first. We assess it during the visit and prepare a written quotation. Use our town and village directory to check installation coverage; London installation enquiries cover our North and West London service area.
Questions to ask before choosing an installer
Ask which grass is included, what will be removed, how the base and edges will be prepared, and how joins and access covers will be handled. Check whether disposal, drainage work and VAT are included. A quotation should identify exclusions and the total for your garden, not just a grass-only unit price.
See real Saygrass work and customer reviews, compare samples and read the separate UV and workmanship warranty terms. For a first budget, try the installation cost calculator. For a lawn used by dogs, read our pet-use planning guide.
A lawn planned around everyday use
A new lawn should suit how you use your garden. We discuss children, pets, furniture and foot traffic, as well as the look and feel of the grass. That helps us choose a suitable product and plan the installation around the space.
We supply and install our own grass. You can request samples before deciding, or compare our core grass range.
What goes into the installation
At your survey we check the existing surface, levels, access, drainage and the lawn outline. The quotation confirms preparation, removal of agreed materials, base works, edging and the grass being installed.
Our standard residential method uses a non-woven geotextile membrane, MOT Type 1 and grano dust. We secure the perimeter and use jointing tape and suitable adhesive where joins are needed. The final power brush helps the pile stand up.
The details depend on your site. Any extra excavation, retaining work, drainage or access requirements should be set out in the quotation rather than assumed.
Choose the finish, understand the quote
Pile height is only one part of choosing grass. Feel, colour and the way it responds to use matter too. We can discuss 30 mm Newport, 40 mm Carisbrooke and 50 mm Ventnor during the survey, subject to availability.
Tell us about existing paving, decking, planting and access covers so the artificial grass edges and levels can be planned around them. Base preparation, drainage and edging needed for the lawn are included where stated in your quotation.
After installation
We explain the care needed for your lawn and the warranty terms. Keep leaves and debris off the surface and clear pet waste promptly. For an existing lawn that needs refreshing, see our cleaning and maintenance service.
